I have a uti and took urizone 3g last night prescribed by the er doc but also had citro soda afterwards as didnt read the full pamphlet and that you shouldnt take it at the same time as the urizone. will the urizone still work?

Most likely : Fosfomycin (urizone) need to be taken on an empty stomach, for good absorption, whether it would interact with the citro soda that would inactivate it, don't think so, however this was a precautionary measure to assure '0' interaction. Keep pushing fluids to flush your bladder and urinary tract. Urizone dose can be repeated if no improvement but not on the same day, best wishes

Can fosfomycin be used in the UK? My Gp prescribed it as a last resort for a UTI that no other antibiotic is clearing
