Have been given cephalexin for uti but made me sick and its weekend here so can i take amoxycillin until i can see my doc again? will it work ?

UTI treatment: Many bacteria causing UTIs are resistant to amoxicillin; it might work but not reliable. How did cephalexin make you sick? It rarely causes any side effects and safest to continue it rather than amox. Your doctor’s office probably can advise by phone.
