See below : Hi, glucose fasting levels decrease by having a proper diet, exercise and if you take metformin or insulin, or other diabetes meds, you should take them as your doctor prescribed. It’s a discipline based treatment, you CAN do it !

DASH Diet lower glu: The best way I have found is move to the DASH eating plan. As your weight and BP go down your glucose should normalize if it is diet sensitive. Works in 2 weeks usually. See my note on HR about how to use the DASH eating plan.
