Size doesn't matter: The size or number of stones don't necessarily matter when it comes to gallstones. Symptoms are the most important factor. If you have pain, or nausea related to meals (sometimes not related to anything at all), then you should seek surgical consultation. Additionally, if you have other important medical conditions, this could affect if or when you require surgery.
