Gall bladder stones, no pain. what are the options?

If symptomatic: Gallstones not causing any symptoms, such as being found incidentally during an abdominal ultrasound or ct performed for an other reason usually do not require surgery. On the other hand, gallstone pain is a very strong indication for cholecystectomy (surgical removal of gallbladder) which nowadays is invariably performed laparoscopically.

Wait and See: As many as 75% of people with gallstones never develop symptoms. Therefore, if you are incidently found to have stones and are symptom-free, it is best to do nothing.
