What is water retention, what causes it and how can i get rid of it or reduce the symptoms? i am on the depo provera injection and i drink about 2 litres of warm water everyday. i am also suffering from rapid weight gain i can't lose. thank you

You likely: have insulin resistance/carbohydrate sensitivity, causing the weight gain and fluid retention. This can lead to diabetes. Depo-provera can make this worse. You need to be tested for insulin resistance, with a 3 hr glucose tolerance test, and insulin levels. Talk to your doctor or specialist in Diabetes/endocrinology.
