A member asked:

How do i know if i should be worried about the vibrio bacteria? i had a small crack in my skin between my toes and swam in the ocean in naples florida. should i seek care or not worry about it

Vibriosis: In your case simply observing the area to look for any sign of a wound infection is all you need to do at this time as I assume that the area in question appears clean. Don't go in the ocean without some waterproof protection of any open areas in your skin. If you still have concerns, see a physician for evaluation and advice.
