Is it normal for my chest to cave in during hiccups ?

Possibly : Hiccups involve a rhythmic spasm of the breathing muscle (diaphragm) that attaches at the lower edge of the rib cage internally. Such a muscle spasm can certainly move the chest wall. It is more dramatic in some than others.
