Can a person with acute intermittent porphyria get tattoos? will it have any side effects for them?

There are side effects to have a tattoo, that is not due to intermittent porphyria. There could be infection, in some cultures stigma and my form scars that are unsightly. Infection could precipitate attack of acute intermittent porphyria.
