Hard to say: The hypothyroid label is either yes or no. Why someone would use that term is confusing. It would be best to discuss this with whoever ordered & interpreted the testing this way. True hypothyroidism is treated by taking the hormone as a daily supplement with the amount determined by individual testing & follow up.
