Age 72. why do serum creatinine levels go from 2.0 mg/dl to 2.8 to 1.9mg/dl in 1 month. serum urea 5.0 mg/dl. is it some stage of ckd? if yes which?

See below : Cr levels show deputation of creatinine, us doctors use it as a marker of renal filtration, they tend to change with age, however you should have your tests interpreted by the doctor who order them, so you don’t get confusing information.

Creatinine: Creatinine of 2.8 raises concern. The low BUN rules out dehydration. If you're taking medications like lisinopril or ARB's like losartan,irbesartan,etc these could raise creatinine levels. If you have diabetes or longstanding hypertension or protein in urine, there would be concern for chronic kidney damage. As Dr. Torres states, your physician can advise you best.
