Scrotal mass: The most common causes of scrotal mass or swelling are hydrocele (a fluid filled cyst) and varicocele (an enlarged cluster of veins). Neither is serious and either one can recur years later, so maybe the same problem as last time. However, some causes are serious, including dangerous infections (e.g. tuberculosis) and testicular cancer. For sure see a doctor -- better safe than sorry!
