Hey i'm a final year med student, i just noticed a patch in my beard near the angle of mandible and there is no previous hx of such issue family or whatsoever, and i've no patches in scalp or any other body hair, any input? alopecia areata,barbae?..

Unsure: Patch? What kind? Patch with absence of beard? Change in color of hair in this area? Less thick area of hair? A photo would be very helpful. Your thoughts may be correct but without photo tough to tell. When you do (if you do derm rotation) you will learn that look (esp with magnification) and feel VERY important in making derm dx.
