I'm 5 months pregnant and have a ear infection, green snotty nose & swollen glands my dr prescribed me an antibiotic called cefasyn500 is it safe to take i'm concerned as dr wasn't 100%sure either.

Yes: Cefuroxime is generally acceptable. Controlled studies in pregnant women show no evidence of fetal risk
