A member asked:

Diagnosed cervicitis, given doxi for 4 weeks(after 2 wks pain returned). 3 weeks later "stinging" pain returned. different medicine needed? pid maybe?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It could.: The cervicitis needs to be treated with ceftriaxone and azythromycin both at the same time. Afterwards an evaluation of the conditions of the uterus and the fallopian ducts is needed to assess PID. Also another possible causes of that pain needs to be ruled out. I strongly recommend to visit an specialist (OB\GYN) Ginecologist/Obstetrician.
