Follow up: The antibiotics used to treat pelvic inflammatory disease may initiate yeast overgrowth in some women. This may present as vaginal or rectal discomfort. Patients with infection need to hydrate as they heal. Dehydration can lead to dizziness. Some antibiotics may affect balance as well. Have a follow up visit to discuss these issues.
