My 10 month son breathes and stops breathing for about a minute or so, my gp advised me to buy a humidifier but its not working. please advise?

10 sec/ok 1 min=no: Infants can occasionally pause between breaths, more commonly in sleep. The acceptable duration would be up to about 10 seconds but NEVER a minute.A humidifier would never be appropriate. Such a kid should be seen immediately by an ENT specialist. If this was an exaggeration, this still requires monitoring. Make an auditory or video record the pattern for review by his doc.
