Not reliable: The "brain atrophy" diagnosis in a head CT is highly subjective. I wouldn't rely on it. It would only be of importance if it were localized to certain brain region or if it were associated with attention, memory or executive function. If you have any problem remembering things, focusing on tasks or have problem finding words while you speek or write, go to a Neurologist so he can further evaluate

Neurologist: You should consult a neurologist who will evaluate your neurologic and cognitive status and probably order a brain MRI to confirm diffuse intracranial atrophy or look for other cerebral pathology.
