Totally normal: The most common side effect of implant use reported by patients is spotting. It is completely expected. It mostly happens during certain periods during the first six months of use. You can try a short course of NSAIDs (5 days) and it might help to reduce the spotting. It should be happing less and less often with the pass of the months.
