Yes: Using current magnetic resonance imaging techniques, it is possible to measure cortical thickness in vivo. The anatomical images can be acquired routinely with a resolution of 1 mm and an optimal contrast between the gray and white matter using specially designed sequences, the FLAIR sequence is one of these however there are several automated methods that are used for the measurement of the crust
