Vaginal infection: Several infections can cause such symptoms. Strong vaginal odor suggests bacterial vaginosis (an overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria) or trichomonas (an STD); itching suggests yeast, but yeast infections don't cause much odor; STDs like gonorrhea and chlamydia are more common in women with either BV or trich. Other possiblities as well. Best to not try to treat yourself; see a doctor. Good luck.
