A member asked:

If an ultrasound finds a dvt, no need for d-dimer test afterwards?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Stuart Hickerson answered

Specializes in Family Medicine

Unnecessary: The D-dimer rules out best. if you have had a positive doppler test is not of value.
