My partner was diagnosed with dvt in his left leg. he has just finished a 21 day course of xarelto (15 mg x 2) & going onto 20 mg 1. calf is still swollen but less swollen. how long before swelling goes away? shall he rest leg or exercise it?

DVT: Can take up to 6 months for the DVT to resolve. Keep leg elevated when resting the leg. However, i would resume regular activity. The activity prevents further clots and in general improves blood flow.
