Absolute hogwash: Wrapping a baby does no such thing. It can reduce their rate of development by preventing use of their muscles through the period of immobilization.Brief wrapping right after birth helps a baby transition from the tight environment of the womb to the outside, but all wrapping should stop as soon as possible. I would report such relatives to Child & Family Services for investigation if they persist
