Ear Wax Color: Ear wax can look pretty red sometimes. I am wondering if you are talking about blood in the wax, though. It sounds like that is your concern. Avoid using cotton swabs to clean your ears since that can damage the external ear canal or the ear drum. If you ears are itchy, see a doctor for evaluation and treatment since that is most often due to fungus. What you describe sounds okay to me.

Ear: Wis I had an answer for you. The flakes mean the ear wax is coming out by itself. See an ENT to see if there is more wax that is deeper but we dont really have any good ways OTC to clean ears

A 40-year-old female asked:
My right ear has excessive wax build up! And my right temple keeps jumpin. Could that be from the ear wax blockage?

No: Excessive ear wax should not cause anything else than hearing loss and may be ear discomfort. Your temple jumping may be a nervous tic. See your physician.
