More info needed: Where in the abdomen is the discomfort? How long does it last? Is there associated tenderness? Any bowel symptoms or nausea? Persistence or worsening warrants an examination by a physician or gastroenterologist. Appendicitis is always a concern if the discomfort is in the lower right side of the abdomen.
