Yes: Sleep apnea leads to a chronic fatigue state in which individuals are more likely to eat to find energy they percieve they lack. They also are more likely not to have the energy to exercise. The physiclogic stress of chronic stress and fatigue can also lead to increased levels of cortizone (hydrocortisone) which can cause increase weight gain.

Yes: Patients who have untreated sleep apnea can have higher sugar levels due to the stress it causes. The fatigue and need for quick energy leads to poor eating habits, usually carbs or high sugar foods. Lack of exercise and weight gain also contribute.
