Type 2 diabetes: Obstructive sleep apnea has been associated with type 2 diabetes. Both have obesity in common. Once you have diabetes, it never goes away. However, exercise, a reasonable low calorie diet and weight loss will help improve both sleep apnea and diabetes. Sleep apnea is also associated with high blood pressure.
