Hi yesterday morning around 6:30am i was experiencing severe lower abdominal pain that was very sharp and sudden and accompanied by heavy bleeding, i assumed it could be my menstrual cycle however i passed a medium size blood clot. what would it be?

Difficult to say: Without examining you or the "blood clot" it is difficult to ascribe a cause or diagnosis. You can see a GYN MD live(not virtual) who can at least examine you and run some testing to find out your answer.
