Not so fast: I know you are probably reading ahead & preparing for the worst, but take a break. Hypotonia is very non specific & sometimes transient in infancy. I worry more about hypertonia in infants as a precursor to CP & MD has a much later onset of any observable changes. The PT will likely not only help but the technician may begin to detect positive changes over time.

Lab tests: I would suggest follow up with Pediatric Neurology, and lab screening for electrolytes, glucose, liver enzymes and thyroid hormones. It is very important to rule out infections at this age. Your pediatrician can initiate testing. Check the baby’s newborn screening tests.
