Bronchitis?: You might have bronchitis in addition to a standard cold. If the sputum ("saliva") is colored yellow or has blood streaks, pain severe, or if you develop fever, call your doctor's office or go to an urgent care clinic. But if small in amount and mostly clear or only slightly colored, don't worry -- nothing unusual and probably not serious, probably no need for antibiotic or other treatment.
