Why does my blood sugar (often) go up while i sleep? it's sometimes higher (up to 112) after i wake up vs 2 hrs after eating or when i go to bed.

Cortisol: I am not quite sure when you are taking your blood sugar, but early AM blood sugars will rise secondary to cortisol rising. Your cortisol begins to elevate in the early AM hours and this will cause a blood sugar rise.
