Possilble: If you have not done a plank for awhile or you are out of shape it could be your body is not used to this activity. However, a plank for 10 to 15 seconds should be doable for a 42 year old person. If you do have a cough then I probably some type of bronchial congestion the issue. Asthma or even cardiac symptoms possible.
