8mm ureteral stones: can usually make it (albeit painfully) to the junction between the ureter and the bladder but can usually not go further and require ureteroscopy and basket to remove. In other words you need professional advice and assistance from a urologist.

There is not enough information to give a good response. An 8 mm stone can pass, but it may take time. If you are not in severe pain, a high water intake could help. In some instances an alpha blocker may be prescribed, which can improve the chance that it will pass. If these measures do not work, endoscopic (internal) stone treatment would be needed,
