effects of 9cm benign teratoma has on unborn baby that is currently 8weeks? remove during first trimester or what are risk of leaving til full term?

Pregnant w/dermoid: The dermoid itself will not have any effect on the baby or the developing pregnancy. That said, given the size, it runs the risk of causing ovarian torsion or labor obstruction. Discuss the pros and cons of removal vs. expectant management with your OB. Your dermoid is really reaching the size where removal after the first trimester may be recommended.
