I wore the same (washed) thongs and underwear after contracting and treating gonorrhea. is it possible to re-infect myself by continuing to wear them?

No,: if washed and dried this should have cleaned enough to prevent re-infection. Only re exposure to an infected person, would reinfect you, if your original infection was fully treated, and you had a test of cure, showing infection gone.
