What doctor to consult for hemifacial spasm. Neurologist or other I have tmj disc displacemt for 14 years degenerated joint and pain?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Richard Bensinger
51 years experience in Ophthalmology
Neurologist: This is mostly a neurologic issue. Depending upon the extent of the spasm you might be helped with some medications, Botox or invasive surgery. The neurologist can firm up the diagnosis, assess for the proper pathway and recommend other specialists if needed. Hopefully you are near a large city where this help is likely.
