A member asked:

I have taken a total of 6 different pain relievers within 12 hours to relieve my cramps 2 midol,2 aleve,& 2 advil,& non are working . whats going on?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Menstrual cramps: Both Aleve and Advil are in the same class of medications and are felt to be effective in relieving symptoms of dysmenorrhea. Applying heat over the lower abdomen may also relieve severe menstrual cramping. Your gynecologist can also advise you on this matter if painful periods continue.
