OB GYN: Tamiflu is available to shorten the course of the flu symptoms. You should check with your Ob Gyn physician to determine whether you are able to have Tamiflu. I would recommend having a flu vaccination since there are multiple strains of the flu, Please check with your Ob Gyn regarding any contraindications.

Some basics: The flu vaccine (injected not nasal) is recommended during pregnancy & many docs wait until the 2nd trimester or later to give it. Since there are other strains of the flu, the vaccine could help prevent infection by another strain but it will not help you heal from the one you have. If you have only had flu symptoms for a day or 2 Tamiflu may help, any longer & benefit is minimal.
