Possible: Typically bacteria like porous surfaces. Staph are long lived and can survive on more dry surfaces even for weeks. So this is a possible vector. Wash bedding regularly would help this.

Confusing post: Staphylococcus is a family of germs that colonize the skin surface of humans within hours of birth. Most strains are benign hitch-hikers but some cause infections in hair follicles/abscesses/etc. They thrive in moist areas like the nose. What you mean by being in genitals is unclear.If you carry an infection producing strain normal laundering & hand washing/reduces transfer.
