Wash it off: Contact with harsh chemicals can sometimes cause redness or irritation on the skin that was exposed. First off, be sure to cleanse the area well with plenty of soap and water. Don't scrub too hard, friction can also irritate skin. Minor contact irritation usually can heal by itself in a week or so. If a rash or other skin signs develop, get checked. Wash sheets and clothes exposed to chemicals.
