Yes but: Yes. Many cysts start with the onset of follicle growth though, which happens every month on the first day of your period as you prepare to ovulate once again (assuming you aren’t on birth control). At ovulation, that cyst ruptures and the egg is released. So the answer is yes, but depending on what you are looking for, it may or may not be the best time to take a look.
