Good day my 18month old has a fever of 37.9 degrees for 2nd day in a row. i have given him a set pill which helps but the fever comes back after couple of hours. should i take him to the emergency room?

Not a fever: The listed temperature is not considered fever. It is well within the normal pattern of body functions which raise the baseline during the activity of the day & drop it some during sleep. If there are other symptoms that spook you a visit may be worthwhile. If the kid feeds/plays/acts pretty normal I wouldn't bother.
