Maybe/not: I know of no ethical physician that relies on a look to treat strep, much less a lay person. If it is strep it can easily be confirmed by simple office test in a few minutes. Proper med selection and duration of treatment could then be decided.More than half of these are viral including the worst ones I ever saw. This may or may not be in the kids best interest.
