A member asked:

I received my period 2 weeks early. i have been regular for the past 15+ years. should i be concerned or seek medical advice?

Depending on age: this may be related to hormonal fluctuations or peri-menopause, aged 45 or over. The correct thing to do is to keep a menstrual diary and if menstrual irregularities continue over the next month, see your GYN for a pelvic exam, blood testing for female hormones, thyroid hormones fasting blood sugar and HgbA1c. If sexually active and not using BC, I suggest a blood pregnancy test.
