I am having a burning pain just below my sternum. if i press on it it sort of subsides. the minute take off the pressure it is painful and burns again. is this just heartburn? i have this pain for the past 2 hours

Epigastric pain: Burning pain in this area can be due to gastritis(inflammation of the stomach lining), duodenal ulcer or pancreatitis, but not heartburn. It's best to be examined promptly if symptoms persist and if the pain is severe, go to the hospital emergency room.
