Head pain: This may be neuralgia if the pains are sharp and jabbing. Steady pain of the scalp can be a prodrome of shingles before the eruption occurs. Temporal arteritis,an inflammation of the temporal artery, is another cause of head pain. Of course, actual headaches can be from tension or migraine as well as intracranial tumors, aneurysm or pseudotumor. I recommend consulting a neurologist for evaluation.
