A member asked:

Can i get a flue vaccine being pregnant and diabetic type 2?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Injection=yes: The live nasal vaccine is not considered safe during pregnancy, but the inactivated (killed) injection is safe. Since pregnancy places a person in a higher risk category for flu complications it is a good idea. We lost 2 pregnant mothers in my town during one flu season. The type 2 DM is not a problem.
