Antifungals: Although fungal nails is common, it is not the only pathology of the toenail, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, bacteria, trauma, and other factors can cause the appearance of a fungus. Even with a biopsy or culture, fungus may grow but not be the problem. Also, to complicate things, fungus may come back after treatment. And the treatments can be less than 100% effective. Try your options.
