A member asked:

Abd x-ray shows air-fluid levels in right colon. ive been told this is abnormal but the er radiologist said it was normal. blockage?? abnormal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Air fluid levels: Did the radiologist feel there were no air fluid levels and that the films were normal? If not, air fluid levels are usually a sign of intestinal obstruction. Symptoms would be abdominal discomfort, cramps, abdominal distension, tinkling bowel sounds, nausea, vomiting and inability to have a bowel movement. If you have these symptoms, head back to the ER. If no symptoms,? problem resolved or see MD
